# Remapping GPIO4 to something else

Hi,

Is there a particular point in the setup sequence where the GPIO remapping needs to be performed for a zymkey 4 (on RPi4B)?

That is, having installed the drivers and used the GPIO4 default to successfully encrypt an SD (but still in dev mode), can we change GPIO pins or is it too late?

I think it depends on when the zk config gets read in the pi/zym boot sequence and I don’t know that.
