# Zymkey inoperative mode: ERROR: no zymkeys installed

Hello,

after working right with Zymkey 4i during months, I got the following errors:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ zkgrifs  
**ERROR: no zymkeys installed.**

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ curl --tlsv1.2 --cacert zk\_ca.pem --cert zymkey.crt --key nonzymkey.key --engine zymkey\_ssl --key-type ENG -v -X POST -d “{ “hello”: “world”}” “[https://endpoint.iot.region.amazonaws.com:8443/topics/hello/world](https://endpoint.iot.region.amazonaws.com:8443/topics/hello/world)”

- SSL Engine ‘zymkey\_ssl’ not found

Enviroment data:  
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ uname -a  
Linux raspberrypi 4.14.71-v7+ #1145 SMP Fri Sep 21 15:38:35 BST 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ openssl version  
OpenSSL 1.0.1t 3 May 2016

Now, LED is flashing in a loop 5 times slow and ~10 times quickly all the time. I tried to reinstall but I can´t reset anyway and I got the same flashing secuence.

I wonder what is the meaning of this flashing secuence and how to get a diagnostic procedure.

@Alberto

1. Have you changed the Raspberry Pi or SDCard with which the Zymkey is associated ?
2. Have you cut the tab ?
3. Please confirm when/where you bought you zymkey (approximately).
4. If you can, please send images of front and back of zymkey.
