What about lifetime of Zymkey4, HSM 4 and HSM 6

Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on an HSM solution for securing IoT as a school project. The first step is to choose an HSM solution between Zymkey 4, HSM 4 and HSM 6.
So, one criteria I’d like to talk about in my decisional matrix is the lifetime of the HSM. Like, how much time can I rely on one of them ?

Does anybody have a feedback about this for a normal to high usage in pretty decent conditions (normal humidity and heat, etc).

First let me apologize for the delay in responding. I’m sorry we were silent on this question.

In theory, there really isn’t a lifetime on the HSMs. They should all continue to function indefinitely*.

I’m not sure that we have quantified the value of “indefinitely” yet, but in practical terms, even with high usage, there should not be a real limit on the lifetime of the device.
