A good number of our customers are using cellular modems in their applications, alongside a zymbit security module. We thought it would be helpful to create a space to share customer experiences of different modem types, service vendors and Linux integrations. Zymbit is not endorsing any of these services or modems, but we are happy to enable developers to share their good and bad experiences.
Here are two initial pieces of customer feedback to get the conversation started:
Verizon
- Service providers: Verizon
- Modem datasheet: Global Modem, USB730L, Linux
- User guide: USB730L Linux Integration Guide
Zymbit customer comments:
“We’ve ended up with the Inseego USB800 for that. Just plug it in and it works on Raspbian Buster. Raspbian Stretch, not so much”.
ATT
- Service providers: ATT 4G LTE
- Modem datasheet: Global Modem USB800
- User guide: Inseego USB800
