Perimeter breach

From what I have read if the perimeter is breached ZymKey will wipe the encryption key and brick the SD card

  1. Is there any option to wipe the SD card or run a script to send a notification?

  2. If there is important information on the SD card can you backup the encryption key so if you are able to recover the SD card later you can access the files?

@nihuya

  1. Yes, through the Zymbit API you have the option to set a perimeter breach event to a) notify or b) delete the key used for encryption, which renders the SD card useless.

  2. Yes, for OEM applications we do have the facility for a Master Key that can be inserted by you at the time of manufacture/encryption. This is not part of our standard release software, but is available to OEM customers. If you would like to learn more shoot us an email to support@zymbit.com.
